I saw your comments about Dr.Francis Grimke. I am actually related to him. His father, Henry Grimke, who was the brother of the two abolitionist sisters, Sarah and Angelina, as well as my great-great-great grandfather, Thomas Smith Grimke, was my great-great-great-great uncle. I would suggest that anyone interested in the life of Francis should also purchase a copy of the book about Francis' brother: Archibald Grimke: Portrait of a Black independent.
